Taiwan Greater China Fund makes use of several equity indices to benchmark its investment performance. Most important among these is the Taiwan China Strategy Index ("the TCS Index") which is computed by Morgan Stanley Capital International based on inclusion criteria developed by the Fund to measure the performance of Taiwan Stock Exchange ("TAIEX") listed companies which derive or which are expected to derive a substantial portion of their revenues from investments in or exports to China. Please see the
MSCI Disclosure. In addition to the TCS Index, the Fund also measures its performance against the TAIEX, the MSCI Taiwan Index and other indices measuring the investment performance of Greater China stock markets.
The following indices are US$-based, or in the case of the TAIEX, converted to US$ at the NT$ closing mid-rate, and are indexed from February 27, 2004, e.g. 2/27/2004 = 100. The indices provided are based on price movement only.
